WILSHERE: I AM GUNNER HAVE TO GO

- BY JOHN CROSS

JACK WILSHERE fears he will have to quit Arsenal in January if he wants to play at the World Cup.

The Gunners midfielder has been overlooked by Gareth Southgate, despite England’s injury problems, because he is not getting enough game time in the Premier League.

Wilshere (inset), 25, has fought hard to regain his Arsenal place and earn a new deal with his current one expiring at the end of this season.

He is fully fit and impressing coaching staff, yet Arsene Wenger has yet to start him in the Premier League this season.

Wilshere said: “I want to play for my country. I am a proud Englishman.

“But it is down to the manager. He didn’t select me. He said I need more football. I have to get in the Arsenal team and hopefully I’ll be selected.”
