Keep a healthy lifestyle. It’s important to look after your own health. Get enough rest, eat a healthy diet and don’t smoke. 3 Wash your hands. No matter what line of work you’re in, if you come into contact with people who are sick, you have to wash your hands over and over. Ten seconds in cold water will do. A good way to time yourself is to sing Happy Birthday once. Make sure you wash the backs of your hands, between your fingers and under your nails. 4
Use alcohol-based hand sanitiser. If you can’t get to soap and water, sanitiser can kill cold and flu germs.
