TRAVEL MAN
This is the overpacked mini break – travel without mercy and there’s a LOT of larking about.
Host Richard Ayoade’s narration is baffling but brilliant, his mind darting around like a pinball machine.
But ultimately it’s one of the best travelogues on the box, well researched and genuinely showing us the highlights and history of a city. It’s how you would like every trip to be. This time, Richard is in Stockholm with Sally Phillips, a comedian who “gets” Richard, making for an hilarious pairing.
During the 48 hours, they fearlessly scale rooftops, sing ABBA songs, eat meatballs, ride a pedalo, visit the world’s first ice bar and join an interactive late-night art show, which basically involves playing on their phones.
