Child hurt in car accident

A CHILD was in a critical condition last night after a three-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called to the main Belfast to Bangor road at Ballyrobert, near the Ballygilbert Church, following the collision on Friday afternoon.

The ambulance service said a child was taken to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and another patient was taken to the Ulster Hospital.

The road remained closed last night.
