An Almighty odd angle on tragedy

After the latest US shooting atrocity that left 26 Texan churchgoers dead, right-wing, pro-gun TV channel Fox News took a quaint angle on it.

Anchor Ainsley Earhardt said she’d been talking to her co-workers and they all agreed church was a great place for those people to be shot in because they could not have been closer to Jesus when they went.

That’s plainly wrong. Surely they’d have been closer to Jesus trampolining on the church roof?

And surely, even the most God-fearing soul among them would have preferred to have been shot in a hospital?
