Firms in need of tech boost

THE economy could get a £100billion boost if more firms embrace technology, business chiefs say.

The Government should encourage firms to take up cloud computing and mobile technology, the CBI claims.

It warned firms are struggling to improve their staff ’s skills in these area.

CBI chief Carolyn Fairbairn said: “When money is tight encouraging new technology take-up is one of the most effective routes to raising productivity.”
