PALS RALLY BEHIND ILL ACE MILLER

FORMER Irish international Liam Miller is battling cancer.

The 36-year-old (below) won 21 caps and played club football for Celtic, Manchester United and Sunderland.

He also has spells in Australia and America and played for League of Ireland champions Cork City in 2015.

Some of Miller’s former Ireland team-mates tweeted messages of support last night.

Ex-celtic star Darren O’dea said: “All my thoughts and love with Liam Miller and his family.”

And Ian Harte wrote: “Very sad news about one of my old teammates Liam Miller, thinking of him and his family at this very difficult time.”

His former international teammate Noel Hunt also tweeted: “Such sad news about my old Room mate Liam Miller, Pray to God he pulls through this battle with Cancer, my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
