Facts about your radius bone and wrist

-

The radius is a bone that runs down your arm and at your wrist joint connects with your thumb.

The radius is the most commonly broken bone in the body and fractures when you fall forward and put your hand down to break your fall.

Most fractures of the radius heal in five to eight weeks.

There are 15 bones in that connection from the end of the forearm to the hand – and the wrist itself contains eight small bones, called carpal bones.
