TV CHRISTINE ‘STALKED BY ACTOR’
Court told man went to Ulster star’s home and sent distressing tweets
TV STAR Christine Lampard was stalked by a wannabe actor, a court was told yesterday.
Christof King, 39, also allegedly sent “distressing” tweets and posted letters to the 38-year-old Co Down presenter.
A court in London was told King turned up at Christine and her husband Frank’s £10million Chelsea mansion “on a number of occasions despite being told to leave” and caused “stress and serious alarm”.
King, of North London, denies the charge.
A WANNABE actor appeared in court charged with stalking TV presenter Christine Lampard.
Christof King, 39, is said to have sent “distressing” tweets and posted letters to the 38-year-old wife of England and Chelsea legend Frank.
Westminster magistrates court heard he caused the former One Show host “distress and serious alarm”.
Prosecutor Emily Maunders said he turned up at the couple’s £10million Chelsea, West London, mansion “on a number of occasions despite being told to leave”.
King, who is living in a hotel room in Brent, North London, is charged with stalking Christine between January 2015 and last month.

Dressed in a black suit with a white shirt, he confirmed his name and date of birth as he stood in the dock. He indicated a not guilty plea. District judge Elizabeth Roscoe granted King conditional bail.
He is not allowed into the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea, he cannot contact, directly or indirectly, Christine or Frank Lampard, go to their home address or attend any events where the celebrity couple might be.
Caroline Mcadam, defending King, said: “The tweets are completely denied and the behaviour does not amount to stalking.”
King will next appear at Isleworth crown court, West London, on December 11. Christine met 39-year-old Lampard at the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain awards in 2009. The pair, who wed in 2015, were back at the ceremony two weeks ago. Christine has been one of the Loose Women presenters since last year.
