Gates’ £38m dementia gift
BILL Gates has dipped into his own pocket to give £38million to a British group hoping to fund a breakthrough against Alzheimer’s disease.
The Microsoft billionaire, 62, said the gift to the Dementia Discovery Fund is a personal one.
Gates said men in his family have suffered from Alzheimer’s. He hopes that in time the disease can be treated with medication.
He said: “I believe we are at a turning point. I’m excited to join the fight.”
