2 arrests in 130mph race

TWO drivers were caught racing at 130mph on the M2 yesterday morning.

Police said the pair were heading to Belfast, and will now have to “explain their actions to district judges”.

An officer said: “We were patrolling the motorway in the early hours.

“The drivers appeared to be racing – speed checks were carried out and both vehicles were stopped.

“Frost was in the air, and roads were damp – it was extremely dangerous.”
