3 hunters hit by accident during shoot
A MAN was shot in the eye and neck and two other hunters were injured when they were accidentally fired at at a gun dog trial.
Paul Young, 67, is likely to lose an eye after a pellet hit his head, missing his brain by “millimetres”.
His son Stu said: “He is very likely going to lose his sight. This is millimetres from his brain and could have been fatal.
“My father’s life is now being changed drastically.”
The men were hit when a gun was fired 20 metres from them at the Duchy Working Gundog Club event in Carnanton House, St Mawgan, Cornwall.
Mr Young and a second man, who was also badly injured, were airlifted to hospital in Plymouth.
Police said Thursday’s shooting was an accident.
