Old tenner is a goner soon
THE old £10 note must be spent by March next year when it will cease to be legal tender.
The Bank of England said the paper tenner would be replaced completely by the plastic note after March 1, 2018.
The polymer tenners, with a picture of Jane Austen on them, were introduced on September 14 and now make up 55% of those in circulation.
The Bank of England will still exchange old notes after March.
