Georgia: It’s Toff winning me over

SHE is arguably the most eligible single female in camp this year, but Georgia Toffolo says it will be tough for potential tarzans to woo her. The Made in Chelsea star, 22, insisted she is “not really going in there for romance”.

She added: “The way I am makes it difficult for guys; I do my own thing the whole time, I’m so independent. If there’s someone else in my life I often forget and carry on as normal.

“I go out every night, I go for dinner with my friends, so I find it hard to think about another person. It’s selfish, but I’m having so much fun concentrating on myself, so maybe that’s part of the problem.”

Georgia, known as Toff, went on: “I think the problem is I really wear my heart on my sleeve, so when I like STANLEY Johnson has defended his son Boris’ bungled intervention over the mum jailed in Iran and astonishingly described the crisis as a “kerfuffle”.

Speaking ahead of his stint on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, Stanley added he would back his son to the hilt on the show if any campmates lash out.

Foreign Secretary Boris had wrongly said British/iranian woman Nazanin Zaghari-ratcliffe, 38, had been in Iran “training journalists” before her arrest.

BLUNDER

It is feared the comment could result in her five-year jail term being doubled.

After being told Boris had been forced to apologise for the blunder, Stanley suggested his son’s intervention had helped Nazanin. He said: “I am very glad to hear this has all gone swimmingly.

“As a matter of fact it does seem to me to have been a terrifically good idea from the point of view of that Iranian woman because it has now become a diplomatic affair of the first order and I suspect that there might be a very strong case for a mission at high level.

“I can imagine you might have a mission from the British Foreign Secretary to Tehran. So out of this kerfuffle maybe something very good will come someone I tell them how it is. Maybe I’m quite young, it just seems to go wrong.

“I’m really attracted to an interesting person. It’s not all about looks. If they can sustain a good intellectual conversation, I find that very attractive.”

Georgia is sure to attract attention herself in the jungle shower thanks to her wardrobe.

She said: “I’ve packed an obscene amount of bikinis. I have one suitcase for shoes and bikinis, but now I’ve realised that I can’t really wear that many. I’ll give it a good go.

“I don’t know whether I’m that sexy, but you’ve got to shower, haven’t you?”

Georgia also admitted to ambitions beyond reality TV. Speaking from the beach on Australia’s Gold Coast, she said: “I would really, really love to do some TV presenting. I think that would be so fun, I’d really enjoy it.

“But, hey, I’ve got this to go so we’ll see. Got this massive task in hand first.”

And the star is on a mission to prove her doubters wrong. Georgia said: “I’d like to prove that just because I’m on a TV show about the area that I live in, it doesn’t mean that I can’t do anything, that I’m not strong – and I really hope that I

show that.” in terms of Uk/iran relationships. I am going to plead a little bit of ignorance for the detail here. But my feeling is this is absolutely moving in the right direction.”

He will not stand for anyone in the camp on the ITV reality show suggesting his gaffe-prone son is failing as Foreign Secretary. Stanley, 77, said: “You have no idea how much I will defend Boris. I will be 100% on his side because I think he is doing a fantastic job.”

Nazanin’s appalled husband Richard Ratcliffe said the Foreign Secretary’s comment about training journalists, “as opposed to the reality: she was there on holiday”, has been used in Iran to justify her being in jail. She was accused of spying.

Amid the storm, Boris retracted “any suggestion she was there in a professional capacity” and announced he would go to Iran to argue her case.

Stanley, an author and ex-tory MEP, said that despite his political background he thinks his campmates in the Aussie

ON BEING INDEPENDENT

outback will talk about the heat rather than Brexit. He is unfazed some people only know him as being Boris’ dad.

Stanley said: “Lots of famous people have fathers. But not all fathers are famous people... Of course I am known as Boris’ dad but it might just be there are some other things that come in there.

“I have written 25 books and won lots of environmental prizes.

“Maybe I am deluded. But if I am, it is a very sweet delusion.”

He added he has no concerns about coping with the demands of the show.

BUNGEE

Stanley said: “I have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro twice in the last five years. I don’t have any worries about my health.

“I am not so sure I would like to do a bungee jump... I don’t think I’d have any problem jumping out of plane but I’d prefer it if the parachute were to open.”

Stanley added he has never watched the show and insisted he did not even know who the hosts are.

He said: “There are two people and one is called Ant and one is called Dec. I am pretty sure I have got that right.

“I’ve seen a photo of them, but which is which? That I am not 100% sure.”

I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! starts on Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
