Dig deep for the kids

CHILDREN IN NEED

-

BREAK out the polka dots, the bear is back – and it’s time to dig deep during another mega charity extravaganza.

As usual, they’ve pulled out all the stops to make sure viewers don’t switch over, with an endless stream of comedy, music and entertainment, and with the presenters changing as often as Doctor Who – among them Tess Daly, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroyc, Ade Adepitan and Rochelle and Marvin Humes.

The cast of Eastenders will once again reveal how many of them can genuinely sing as they perform a musical medley around Albert Square. Always nice to see them smiling for once. Six Blue Peter presenters will take a spin in the ballroom as they compete for the Pudsey Glitter Ball trophy.

The Queen Of Mean, Anne Robinson, returns for a special celebrity edition of the Weakest Link, with the winner hoping to land £15,000.

And the presenters of Countryfile, no doubt delighted not to be standing in the freezing cold for once, kick off their wellies for a cowboy-themed performance. There are also turns from the cast of Annie, Amber Riley from Dreamgirls, Beverley Knight from The Bodyguard, Cassidy Janson from Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Rita Ora, The Vamps and Jason Derulo.

Joanna Lumley announces the Sir Terry Wogan Fundraiser Of The Year, and there are some tearjerking appeal films to remind us what it’s really all about.
