- BY TOM BRYANT Head of Showbiz

ADELE has made £9million in a year from her album sales, despite not releasing any music.

The hitmaker, 29, raked in the huge income after her third album – 25, released in November 2015 – sold 20 million copies worldwide.

With a track record of smash hits including Hello, Rolling In The Deep and Chasing Pavements, her total album sales have topped 50 million.

Companies House accounts for 2016 show Melted Stone Ltd, of which she is a director, recorded profits of £5.17million, while Melted Stone Publishing made £3.79million.

The sums will soar further when earnings from her massively successful world tour, which ran from February last year to this June, are made public next March.

The London-born mother of four-year-old son Angelo has invested a chunk of her riches in property.

She has a £4million mansion in Sussex, a £5.4million pad in

Los Angeles, a £5.65million mews house in

London and a £5million place at the seaside, in

Hove,

East Sussex. There had been speculation she was heading to do a residency in Las Vegas but sources claim she is not interested in the bigmoney deal.

She much prefers to be a supportive mum to son Angelo as he attends school, the sources said.

Adele is also reported to have turned down £1million to sing for Arab billionaires in the Middle East. According to Australian singer Guy Sebastian, a judge on the Down Under version of X Factor, she turned down a two-show deal. He said: “I was with Adele’s agent and two gigs offered her £1million.

“Her agent said: ‘Nah, she’s not doing it. She’s busy gardening this week.’ Adele is often weeding these days.”
