I’m a Celeb stars lose 6st between them in just 13 days in jungle

He’s top of the table, immune from eviction and took part in winning secret task. Won meals and involved in a secret challenge, meaning he’s one of the stars of the show. Continued to shine and even presented the camp with strawberries. Top female contender in camp by miles. Chelsea’s loss could be ITV’S gain. Finally got involved more thanks to secret mission. Will it keep her in? Triumphed in

Grot-holing task.

Wouldn’t call her Mardy Vardy to her face, though. Rare quiet day in terms of highlights, like when his lilo went AWOL on the challenge. Quiet after initial burst of action. But with his immunity he can roar back with a row. Still hasn’t done a trial, so she’s not given us much to get excited about. Have had as much good chat from her as from a mannequin in past 48 hours. Barely done anything of interest since late arrival. Disappointing so far.

THE weight is falling off the I’m A Celebrity contestants, as unusually humid conditions combined with meagre rations in the jungle take their toll.

The 11 campmates are estimated to have lost 6st between them since entering the jungle on November 19.

Boxer Amir Khan, 30, actor Jamie Lomas, 42, and Boris’s dad Stanley Johnson, 77, are among those who look like they have shed the most. Dennis Wise, 50, and Georgia Toffolo, 23, also appear thin.

Jamie is certain he has dropped a few pounds. He said: “I’ve lost so much weight in here, which isn’t a bad thing. But the hunger, it really gets to you.”

And yesterday Amir’s dad Shah said it was good to see his son slimming down as he needed to get back to his fighting weight.

A show insider said: “You are starting to see a real difference in the likes of Jamie and Amir. We estimate all 11 of them combined have shed around six stone.”

In previous years, contestants lost an average of just under a stone. Newsreader Michael Buerk lost more than 17lbs in 2014, and TV presenter Christopher Biggins lost 2st in 2007.

A source on the show said: “On average each celebrity loses 11lbs, Most of this would be put back on within three weeks.

“Because the celebrities are eating healthy organic vegetables and meat, the body readily absorbs this so they make sure the meat is heavy in protein, and the fruit and veg heavy in minerals, vitamins and glucose.

“They don’t have processed food unless it’s part of the Dingo Dollar challenge. And then, it’s usually two pieces of chocolate or sweets.

“The celebrities are encouraged to drink a minimum of three litres of water a day.

“It is a huge diet change, but no one complains as for most of them it is the best detox diet of their life.”

Yesterday, the camp got extra food thanks to Jamie and Rebekah Vardy, 35, winning all 11 meals on their Bushtucker Trial. They each had to collect stars in tunnels, which were identical apart from the fact only one was lit.

Becky was in the light tunnel and gave Jamie directions to find his stars in the dark. They also got to eat some strawberries as Amir was given a giant bowl to take into camp.

One contestant left the camp in the first eviction last night. Jack Maynard was kicked off last week in a row over social media posts.
