Man, 41, charged with killing mother of two

A MAN has been charged with the murder of woman whose body was found in Lough Erne.

Mum-of-two Lu Na Mckinney, 35, died at Devenish Island, Co Fermanagh, on April 13.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with her murder and is due in court tomorrow.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch have charged a man with the murder of Lu Na Mckinney. He has also been A MAN accused of terrorism offences in Syria was yesterday formally cleared of three outstandin­g charges.

Eamon Bradley, 29, of Melmore Gardens in Creggan, Derry, had twice stood trial for terrorist offences.

The charges, dating from 2014, include attending terrorist training camps and receiving weapons training.

A judge told Derry Crown Court that Mr Bradley would not be going on trial for a third time. Two previous trials ended with charged with possession of a Class C controlled drug. He will appear at Omagh Magistrate­s Court. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.” juries failing to reach a definitive verdict.

At the end of his first hearing in February, a Crown Court jury acquitted him of possessing explosives, but was not able to reach a verdict on the other charges.

There was a hung jury on the more substantiv­e charges of attending terrorist training camps in Syria and receiving instructio­n in the use of weapons.

Mr Bradley did not speak after yesterday’s court hearing.
