Me look like a bully

Dennis says there was no menace in his attitude to beleaguered Lee

you want your time, no one is gonna say anything, go and then come back. Go and do what you feel is comfortable’.”

He said Iain had been “reassured a little bit with that kind of scenario”.

Dennis said they planned to get together after the show. “Iain is going to a Chelsea game with his kids, I am getting tickets.

“And we are all going on his TALKRADIO show as guests. I know his mum is in a care home where I live and we are going to have some dinner together up there. This is really strange for me. I am sure Iain, when he comes out, will have his own opinion of it. And this word (bullying) is not a nice word, I don’t agree with it.

“I am sure ITV, if there was anything like that, they have an obligation.”

Dennis clashed with Iain when the pair both wanted to do a Bushtucker Trial earlier this week.

He told radio presenter Iain he had “a problem” with him doing the challenge because he did not think he was capable and the campmates could go hungry if he failed to get the stars. Iain agreed to withdraw his name from the challenge, but asked if that ruled him out of trials for the rest of the series, saying that would be “unfair”.

Dennis told him: “The problem is you’ve gone a couple of times and you’ve come back with nothing, so that causes me a slight issue.”

Told that millions of viewers found the scene unsettling, thinking it showed him to be a bully, Dennis said: “People can jump on to small things. Social media can go mad.

“Trust me, when he comes out, we’ll all be on a Whatsapp. I’m not worried. If

Iain comes out and says, ‘No, I don’t want the Chelsea tickets and I am not going to Amir’s fight’, I would be gobsmacked. I know what I’ve done.

“When Iain cried I was one of the first two people who gave him a cuddle. It’s a game, guys. For everyone in there.”

On a lighter note, Dennis said he thought the banter with Ant and Dec about his height was “brilliant”. He had been dubbed “a very small man”, but then turned out to be taller than Dec. He said: “I don’t mind the mickey being taken out of me. It was hilarious.” He is looking forward to Jamie, Amir and Iain coming out.

He said: “I know Iain doesn’t drink and I know Amir doesn’t drink, but I’m looking forward to having an apple juice and an orange juice. I’m looking forward to catching up.” Toff put in a good effort in the Bushtucker Trial and also stood up to Jamie. It is surely just a matter of time before she is crowned Queen of the Jungle. The radio presenter admitted an addiction to his phone and also said that he likes Dennis despite everything.

What a guy. The Hollyoaks hunk has become the new bad boy of camp, picking on queen Toff. He’s been “acting” off all week and won’t last long. Everyone who leaves the show only has praise for Jennie.

Maybe her warmth means she can Corrie on until the final.
