YOUR SHOUT

Fiona, so glad you say we need another Brexit vote. Leavers say it’s a democratic decision. Well, we have a democracy that allows a vote further down the line (as in a General Election) when we realise we were lied to and don’t like what’s happening.

If leavers are so sure people are happy with their leave vote, they shouldn’t fear another one.

Estelle Bisset, Neston, Cheshire

Fiona, if only people knew then the problems Brexit’s causing now. If we had another referendum I’m sure the vote would result in a large majority wanting to stay in Europe.

Ray Smith, Gloucester

Fiona, I’m all in favour of a new vote on the EU. The Leave campaign was based on scaremongering. It won’t be Farage, Johnson and Gove who suffer the consequences of their lies – it’ll be the working class.

Stuart Slinn, via e-mail

Fiona, my intelligence and integrity were insulted by your comments claiming we voted for Brexit because we listened to lies. I voted for Brexit because I wanted a nation that did not allow itself to be subjugated by Europe, and that didn’t believe the ‘spin’ of Osborne, Cameron, Obama, Merkel, Juncker, Carney, etc.

I investigated the facts!

Ashley Smith, March, Cambs

FP: Congratulations, Ashley, your intelligence is clearly superior to the intellectual might of the folk you’ve listed above.
