As it begins, the peace at Moor Burn Farm is shattered by the murder of old man Macfell. Love, betrayal, war, jealousy – this has it all.
MR STINK
W, 4.50pm Another day, another David Walliams’ production. This latest is a wonderfully heartwarming and humorous tale.
In this adaptation, Chloe is a lonely schoolgirl who has no friends, so she bonds with a stinky tramp and his dog in the park.
Then after uncovering Mr Stink’s sad past, she ends up on a journey that takes her all the way to Number 10 Downing Street.
KNIGHT AND DAY
DAVE, 9pm This 2010 comedy caper starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz checks every action film cliché in the book. But if you enjoy adrenaline-fuelled car chases, shoot-outs and general mayhem, this is an enjoyable movie that does exactly what it says on the tin.
Diaz plays June Havens, a classic car restorer who unwittingly gets caught up with rogue secret agent Roy Miller (Cruise) who is on the run from the CIA. Mistaken identities ensue.
JACKIE STEWART: THE FLYING SCOT
YESTERDAY, 9pm Scottish racing driver Sir Jackie Stewart is a threetime F1 champion and safety campaigner.
And he’s had an eventful life with many triumphs and tragedies to speak of, such as the moment he ran off the track at 165mph and crashed in heavy rain.
This compelling feature-length documentary charts it all, from racing success to his family life and those famous sideburns.
