Appeal over mum & girl hit-and-run
POLICE are investigating a suspected hit-and-run after a woman and her daughter were struck at a zebra crossing.
The woman and her sixyear-old were crossing the road at Belvoir Street, off the Lower Newtownards Road in East Belfast, when they were hit.
One family member said the little girl was “knocked flying” by the collision.
The PSNI posted on its East Belfast Facebook: “Only details known are a small black vehicle was involved and failed to stop.
“This occurred around 19:55. Both mother and daughter are being treated for their injuries which are not life threatening.
“If you can assist with our inquiries please contact 101.”
