Shears killed OAP in garden

A PENSIONER who loved gardening died after falling on to a pair of shears, an inquest heard yesterday.

Dublin Coroner’s Court heard the blade inflicted a chest wound on 79-yearold Loreto Peel after she tumbled from a ladder.

A full investigation was carried out by gardai after the tragedy on June 23, 2016.

Mrs Peel’s daughter Helen Lane found her lying in the back garden of her home at Northland Drive, North Dublin.
