Sir David Attenborough and Professor Brian Cox are appearing on screen together for the first time in The Royal Society’s series People of Science.

In the show, which is now on BBC iplayer, the pair discuss Charles Darwin’s legacy as the founding father of botany.

The broadcaster, 91, previously described the 49-year-old physicist as his natural successor, saying: “If I had a torch I’d hand it to Brian Cox.”
