Girl, 15, killed as BMW hits her bus stop
A GIRL of 15 was killed on her way to school when a BMW ploughed into a bus stop at 8.15am.
Katelyn Dawson died after being taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Classmates described her as “amazing, kind, funny and beautiful”.
The headteacher at her school, John Mcnally, said: “Katelyn was a passionate, popular student. We’re devastated.”
Three others, including a 17-year-old girl also at Shelley College, Huddersfield, West Yorks, and the driver, 51, were injured.
The most badly hurt, Christine Crawshaw, 47, has serious leg injuries.
Husband Steven said: “Christine won’t walk for a year. It’s terrible but not as bad as what Katelyn’s family has been through.”
