Boris in jailed mum plea to Iran minister
BORIS Johnson pleaded for the release of Briton Nazanin Zaghari-ratcliffe with Iran’s foreign minister.
The Foreign Secretary used a summit on Tehran’s nuclear deal to tackle Mohammad Javad Zari over the case of the mum jailed for five years.
He tweeted he “raised Iranian dual-national cases” after the meeting in Brussels yesterday.
Mum-of-one Nazanin, 39, of Hampstead, North London, denies Iran’s charges of plotting to overthrow its government.
EU chiefs stay committed to a 2015 deal easing sanctions in exchange for Iran cutting its nuclear programme.
US President Donald Trump said he would consider ditching it.
