‘Putin fan’ Tory met Trump’s fallen aide Bannon in secret
A TORY MP has became embroiled in the scandal around Russian meddling in foreign politics.
Shrewsbury MP Daniel Kawczynski, branded a “Putin apologist”, secretly met Donald Trump’s ex-strategist Steve Bannon in London in November, it emerged last night.
Disgraced Bannon also met fellow Tory Jacob Rees-mogg and
Nigel Farage during his visit as US investigators probed the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to the Kremlin. Labour MP Chris Bryant said: “It’s clear that the Tories’ links with the Trumpite right are far closer than anyone has owned up to so far.”
Fellow Labour MP Ben Bradshaw said: “Mr Kawczynski is one of Parliament’s most vocal apologists for President Putin.
“I hope the American investigation will expose the reason for these meetings.”
