Nuisance call makers fined
FOUR companies that made 15 million nuisance calls, fired off 44 million spam emails, and sent one million spam texts have been fined a £600,000.
The Information Commissioner’s Office investigated Barrington Claims of Port Talbot, Newday of London, Goody Market UK of Liverpool and TFLI of Macclesfield.
ICO spokesman Andy Curry said: “Firms cannot get away with failing to follow the rules designed to protect people.”
