HTC U11+

£699

-

HTC’S latest flagship phone is a plus-sized version of last year’s “squeezable” U11. The edges of the 6-inch screen are pressure-sensitive, allowing you to squeeze to access notifications and launch certain apps from the home or lock screen.

The phone has an all-glass body that is slightly curved – inspired by the surface tension on water droplets. This gives it an attractive glossy appearance, but does mean it picks up fingerprints easily. As you would expect from a phone these days, it doesn’t have a headphone jack but comes with a pair of earphones that plug into the USB-C charging port.

There’s also an adaptor in the box, so you can continue using your old headphones if you prefer. It runs the latest Android version, and you can expand the 128GB storage space with a microsd card.

Performance-wise, it can match the top-tier flagships without trouble – so if you want an alternative to the iphone X or Samsung Galaxy S8, this is one to consider.
