THE hair on Prince William’s crown has been thinning for years and now he has admitted defeat by having it severely shorn.

He revealed the new look yesterday as Meghan Markle continued to create a buzz too – winning admirers on an official visit with fiance Prince Harry.

Wills looked like his hair had been pruned using the lowest possible clipper guard setting – a number one.

TV executive Mike Sington tweeted: “Prince William gets a buzz cut and looks oh so much better. President Trump, take note please.”

Wills, 35, who used to hide behind a long, floppy fringe as a teenager, unveiled his new crop at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

The Duke of Cambridge was there in Lambeth, South London, to celebrate the national rollout of the Step Into Health programme which helps former armed forces personnel find work in the NHS.

Wills has been teased about his balding pate by brother Harry, 33, who was with Meghan in Cardiff yesterday.

She melted hearts despite the crowds out in the cold having to wait longer than expected for the couple’s arrival because of a track fault that delayed their train by an hour.

When the pair finally turned up at Cardiff Castle at 2.30pm they were greeted by screaming well-wishers.

Freelance journalist Jessica Phillips, 23, said she praised Meghan, 36, for being a feminist and added the US actress replied Harry is “a feminist too”.

The royal couple then visited the Star Hub community centre in the district of Tremorfa. A group of children mobbed Meghan after Harry said “everyone give her a group hug”. The kids then embraced Harry.
