Eugenie & Jack in second royal wedding of the year
PRINCESS Eugenie will wed long-term love Jack Brooksbank this autumn in the second royal wedding of 2018.
Eugenie, 27, showed off a pink sapphire ring similar to the ruby one dad Prince Andrew gave to her mum Sarah Ferguson in 1986.
Fergie told of her “total joy” as Buckingham Palace revealed the couple had become engaged on a recent holiday in Nicaragua.
The wedding will take place in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where Eugenie’s cousin Prince Harry, 33, will marry Meghan Markle, 36, on May 19.
Eugenie and Jack, 31, will live at Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace next to Harry and Meghan
and Prince William and Kate. Eugenie told how she wept and was “over the moon” when Jack proposed next to a lake.
She told BBC1’S The One Show the Queen and Prince Philip were “very happy” at her engagement.
Her mum Fergie said: “We love Jack. It will be pure harmony.” Dad Andrew was “overjoyed”.
Jack said it was “love at first sight” when the couple met skiing in Verbier seven years ago.
Eugenie is to continue her job as a director at Mayfair gallery Hauser & Wirth. Former club manager Jack is a brand manager for Casamigos Tequila.
Eugenie’s sister Beatrice, 29, split from boyfriend of 10 years Dave Clark two years ago.
