STEPHANIE Waring has branded her controversial Dancing on Ice exit a waste of her training.

The actress was in a skate-off on Sunday with singer Lemar, 39, who took a tumble during his routine with partner Melody Le Moal. Judge Jason Gardiner saved Stephanie and Sylvain Longchambon, as did Ashley Banjo.

But Christopher Dean went with Lemar and Jayne Torvill saved him with the casting vote – to gasps from the audience.

Hollyoaks star Stephanie, who appeared on ITV’S Lorraine yesterday, said: “I was like, we can’t make a mistake, it all rests on this one skate. So I was confused as there was a trip and yet I’m the one to go home.

“It is a lot of hard work just down the toilet, really. Two of the judges thought I deserved to go through.”

Sylvain also blasted the decision and called for an extra judge to avoid accusations of a fix after Lemar was

ON HER EXIT DISAPPOINTMENT

A BOY’S hand was almost “ripped off” after getting stuck in an escalator.

Finley Lander, four, needed three operations to repair the damage after the incident at the Darwin shopping centre in Shrewsbury, Shrops.

Dad Michael said: “It was horrific. His hand was just about hanging on.” saved for the second week in a row by the final fourth vote.

He said: “They need five judges, then the vote would be three and two. The rules are if you have a stumble in the skate-off and the other couple skate well you are supposed to be out. Five years ago this happened with Pamela Anderson. She stumbled and was voted off. The judges obviously thought Lemar was still better. We can only accept it.

“It is disappointing when you leave early, you hear everywhere it wasn’t our time to go.”

Stephanie, who expects favourite Jake Quickenden will win, told how her exit means at least she will get to spend more time with her two young daughters.

She said: “The kids are proud of me and thought I did an amazing job but they want their mummy back.

“So as sad as I am to leave, I do get to be with my girls more.” POPE Francis has apologised for insisting victims of paedophile priests show “proof” or be guilty of slander.

He said he realises now it was a “slap in the face” to victims that he never meant. But he again defended Chilean bishop Juan Barros, accused of covering up for a paedophile cleric.
