Gemma must keep her hair on after a fashion faux pas

There was disheartening news on Channel 5 last night for anyone looking for a job.

I’ll let Gemma Collins explain: “Unfortunately, I’m not taking on any new friends.”

Hopefully, Gemma will have a rethink at some point. Following her eye-catching make-under on Celebrity 100% Hotter she could certainly do with some extra bodies around her.

For a start, the new look she was given includes a wig to cover her bleach-ravaged hair. As Gemma pointed out: “I haven’t got time to apply a wig every day.”

I’m no wig expert but how long does it actually take to put one on in the morning? Isn’t it just an elaborate hat?

Still, if Gemma says she’s too busy then I guess we must take her at her word. We must also believe she will actually wear the tweedy suit that this programme’s optimistic style team put her in – although if someone would be kind enough to invite her to the next meeting of The John Mccririck Appreciation Society it might make that promise easier to keep. I can’t imagine Gemma’s fellow fashion victim Christopher Biggins, right, will give his new long baggy overcoat and Breton T-shirt combo a second outing either.

Unless he’s thinking of going to some French flashers annual convention.

That’s part of the fun of this programme though. Trying to guess how long it will be before the new wardrobe is in the window of the celebrity’s nearest charity shop.
