EXPERIENCE U2 WITH GIG No2

Rockers add an extra Belfast date to tour

- BY SHEENA MCSTRAVICK

U2 have announced a second Belfast gig on their upcoming tour after all of their European dates sold out within seconds yesterday.

Live Nation and MCD confirmed the news of a final Northern Ireland show on October 28, 2018.

Following last year’s acclaimed stadium run with The Joshua Tree Tour 2017, the EXPERIENCE + INNOCENCE tour will see U2 return to indoor venues, picking up where 2015’s ground-breaking INNONCENCE + EXPERIENCE tour left off.

Tickets for the additional Belfast show will go on sale at 9am next Friday.

All general admission floor tickets will be paperless and available online or at the relevant venue box office only.

Reserved seating tickets will also be available to purchase from 9am next Friday both online and via Ticketmaster outlets across the country.

And there was outrage yesterday after after tickets for the U2’s Dublin gigs sold out in seconds amid calls for anti-touting laws to be fast-tracked.

The world’s biggest rock band are set to play Dublin’s 3Arena on November 5, 6, 9 and 10 but tens of thousands of people were left bitterly disappointed.

And their frustration turned to anger as hundreds of tickets for their European dates started appearing minutes later on secondary resale sites with some costing more than €1,000.
