Beviss, 54, who claimed the religious group was persecuting him, then phoned his elderly father and a woman he knew, to tell them he had “just killed a bloke”, Exeter crown court was told.
He walked to a police station, not manned at the front desk, and rang 999 to say there had been a knifing in Honiton, Devon.
A policewoman realised Beviss was the killer when he told her the Jehovah’s Witnesses had “humiliated him and he had to do it.”
Beviss, of Honiton, admitted manslaughter and will be sentenced later.
