but a few.
But this year’s competition has found the most expensive English footballer and a comedian with sights set on Hollywood.
and Manchester City defender auditioned for
judging panel in disguise – and performed
World In Motion.
Kyle, 27, whose transfer last year was worth £53million, did rap while Jack dressed as the World Cup, much to the audience’s delight.
One fan at Manchester’s Lowry Theatre said: “It was hilarious. The crowd were loving the boys’ rendition of the song, but there was no way you could tell who was inside the costumes.
“Jack was trying to dance while he sang, but it was pretty hard for him to move inside the suit. At the end of the song, they did a massive reveal and the audience erupted. People were crying with laughter.
“The judges were in hysterics, too – they couldn’t believe it was Jack and Kyle.”
The pair are not harbouring a secret plot to reach the charts with football raps, sadly, but Jack is fronting a new online series ahead of this summer’s World Cup competition in Russia.
Jack’s friend is producing the series, and Jack, 29, has said: “With any luck, this could turn into the Carpool Karaoke of football... except I can’t drive.”
The series of videos with footballers will be launched on Jack’s Youtube channel jackwhitehallcomedy in the build-up to Russia.
Audience members in Manchester posted on Twitter how much they enjoyed the pair’s performance, with one writing: “Absolutely legendary.”
