Cards plea for ‘incredible’ Warren

- BY BETHANY GLEAVE

A MOTHER is asking people to send loving cards to her son who “hates” his face and wants a new one.

Warren Armstrong, five, is upset because – with two nerves missing – he cannot move the left side of his face.

He also has partial vision while his fingers and thumbs are fused together.

Now mum Jannine, 30, and dad Keith, 36, are trying to lift the spirits of their lad, who was born with a rare condition called Moebius syndrome.

She said: “Warren hates the way he looks. It is completely heartbreaking.

“I tell him all the time that he is beautiful and it is what is on the inside that counts – but he still hates his face.

“It was one of my close friends that came up with the idea of sending him cards and I thought it sounded brilliant. We have had a good response so far.

“Cards are even coming from people we don’t know. It’s been amazing and every one has made Warren smile.

“I hope it gives him a confidence boost and shows him that he is amazing the way he is and doesn’t need a new face.”

Payment manager Jannine, of Salford, Greater Manchester, added: “He’s an incredible little boy with a great personality and will talk to anyone.

“I hate seeing him upset. He still does what every normal kid does. The only thing bothering him is his face.”
