Made with Nobel Prize wonder material, it goes on sale today Petting zoo’s ban ‘felt like paedo slur’
A CONTROVERSIAL ball that golfers can hit further than ever goes on sale today.
Built with graphene, the world’s strongest, thinnest material, its makers say it’s a gamechanger for everyday players.
But critics complain it makes the sport too easy and will render historic courses obsolete.
BBC golf reporter Iain Carter said: “The last thing golf needs is the ball to travel further. Courses are too long, it takes too long to play and they are too expensive.”
Graphene, a web of carbon atoms 200 times stronger than steel but a million times thinner than paper, won a Nobel prize FILMING is under way on a biopic inspired by the love between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Fiona Offord, 48, and hubby Tom, 68, bought tickets at Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park, South Woodham, Essex.
But staff said they were not allowed in without children. Fiona said: “It made us for the Manchester University scientists who developed it.
Woven into the outer core of a ball, it allows a larger inner core, boosting speed feel like paedophiles…like we were being accused of being there to groom children. It was humiliating.” The couple, of Stowmarket, Suffolk, who have three children, said the park should change its policy.
Marsh Farm apologised but said: “As part of our safeguarding policy we do not permit adult-only admissions.” and cutting spin. Sports goods company Callaway is selling the balls at £38 a dozen – 50% more than normal ones.
Pro golfers are already smacking balls further than ever. World No1 Dustin Johnson last month hit a 433-yard drive on a par-four in Hawaii.
