-

NEXT week’s line up at Shine in Belfast is an absolute zinger.

UK house duo Dusky are embarking on their first 17 Steps label tour, taking in 17 venues across 17 cities in the UK and beyond, including next Friday’s headline show at The Telegraph Building in the city centre..

Originally starting the label in 2014 with the ‘Loving Taking Over EP’, Dusky’s 17 Steps has become the primary outlet for their own productions. It has also seen the duo release a consistent stream of cutting-edge house and techno EPS from the likes of Bwana, and Hugo Massien, all of whom feature as support across the tour.

Joining Dusky in the main room is a very special guest in the form of Maya Jane Coles, who makes a long awaited return to Belfast for the first time since 2014.

Opening the main room is 17Steps star Kiwi, who has created a sound all of his own over recent years and received support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Daniel Avery and Erol Alkan to name a few.

In room 2, Glasgow upstart Big Miz headlines with support from local duo Schmutz & John Mciver aka JMX.

The Telegraph Building is the former Belfast Telegraph newspaper printing press, once at the beating heart of the city’s industrial & cultural output and has now been developed into a multi purpose venue for a broad range of cultural events, most notably hosting live music & world renowned DJS. You absolutely have to see it decked out, it is something to behold.
