Saints alive.. St Patrick returns

-

SAINT Patrick made an early return to his spiritual home yesterday as the countdown to his big day continues.

Marty Burns, dressed as the patron saint, pitched up inside the ruins of Inch Abbey as the re-enactment of his first landing in Ireland took place.

It’s reputed that St Patrick arrived in the Co Down location in the year 432. His remains are believed to be buried at Down Cathedral.

This weekend, the world will turn green as those of Irish stock – and those who would like to be – celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
