NICKY HENDERSON expects On The Blind Side (right) to be fit for Aintree’s Grand National meeting next month after scratching the unbeaten six-year-old from Wednesday’s Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle.
“There are are no serious problems with him but he’s lame and so he can’t run — it’s as simple as that,” the Seven Barrows trainer said yesterday.
“We can’t take a chance with him. It’s frustrating but the intention is to run him at Aintree.”
Speculation that Ballymore hot favourite Samcro could be re-routed for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle was scotched when the Gordon Elliott trainee was not declared for tomorrow’s curtain-raiser.
