Kyle done in by Dudi

NEW British No.1 Kyle Edmund was last night knocked out of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells after a straight sets 6-4 6-4 defeat to Israel’s Dudi Sela.

Edmund, seeded 21, looked rusty in his first match since reaching the semi-final of the Australian Open in January.

Sela, 32, is ranked 97 in the world and used all his experience as Edmund’s serve let him down in California.

Edmund (above), 23, who recently replaced Andy Murray as British No.1, had been an early break up in the first set but failed to capitalise.
