Game is up after illegal machine raid

THE PSNI has seized 96 machines as part of a crackdown on “illegal gaming”.

Officers raided a commercial premises on the Wakehurst Road area of Ballymena, Co Antrim, last Thursday.

Cash was also seized and police enquiries are continuing.

Inspector Michael Simpson said: “There are real issues here around addiction and exposing younger people to the culture of gambling.

“I would encourage anyone who has any concerns, or any information regarding illegal gaming to contact us on 101.”
