Bercow in for bully debate

COMMONS Speaker John Bercow refused to leave his seat for a debate on alleged bullying of parliamentary workers – days after claims about his own behaviour.

Mr Bercow allowed the issue after Leader of the House Andrea Leadsom announced an independent inquiry, calling it a “huge concern”.

Tory James Dudderidge was met with howls of “shame” when he questioned if Mr Bercow – said to have driven a clerk out of her job – should preside over the debate.
