BAGGIES TO MAKE PARDS SLOG IT OUT

WEST BROM want embattled Alan Pardew to slog on despite planning to name a new boss in the summer.

Pardew is a dead man walking at the top-flight basement side after just one win in 16 league games.

The 56-year-old (below) has lost the support of Albion’s players and even admitted they stopped trying in Saturday’s 4-1 home loss to Leicester, which leaves them eight points adrift.

But the club’s Chinese-owners are reluctant to take another financial hit, axing Pardew just four months after his appointment. They know it will be cheaper to pay him off in the summer.

Names in the frame include Graham Potter of Ostersund and Michael Appleton, Leicester’s assistant manager.
