EX-MLA airlifted after car crash
A FORMER SDLP MLA was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital following a crash yesterday afternoon.
Tommy and Eileen Gallagher were both injured in the collision between a car and a trailer on the Pettigo Road in Kesh, Co Fermanagh.
SDLP councillor John Coyle said: “Tommy has been a friend and colleague for many years. Although he’s in his 70s he is still active. We hope they make a full recovery.”
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “There were two patients. One was taken to Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital in the charity air ambulance and the second to South West Acute Hospital.”
