1st dinobird’s flight limited like pheasant
A WINGED Jurassic dinosaur widely regarded as the first bird flew like a pheasant, it has emerged.
Archaeopteryx was not capable of long-distance, active flight – nor could it glide and soar like modern birds of prey.
Instead, scientists at the European Synchrotron facility in Grenoble, France, think Archaeopteryx made short bursts of low-level flight to escape danger.
Lead researcher Dennis Voeten said: “The bones plot closest to birds like pheasants that occasionally use active flight.” SEVEN thousand pairs of shoes, one for each child killed by guns in the US in the last six year, are laid out to stir the consciences of America’s lawmakers.

The Dunblane families wished them “wisdom and strength” in their campaign against gun violence.
