‘WARMING’ IS SO COLD

# In answer to Eric Medcraft who asked where is the global warming (Madeuthink, March 20)? Global warming doesn’t work that way. Some parts of the world warm faster than others, such as the Arctic, but the main effect is the change in weather patterns.

For the UK, one change is more regular snow from Siberia.

Unilever is an Anglodutch company and so for it to go to Rotterdam is no big deal as that’s the biggest container port in Europe. Business is business and goes on regardless of politics.

I find it amazing the Tories declared £826,100 in donations from Russian-linked supporters and said the cash was “legitimate” so won’t be paid back.

Why are hotels allowed to charge extra for a single room supplement even when a room only contains a single bed? I think this is a disgrace and it is about time something was done about penalising people for being alone. Lilian Campbell Gateshead, Tyne & Wear
