BBC team in oarsome win over TV rivals
BEEB stars beat their ITV rivals in a Clash of the Channels boat race for Sport Relief yesterday.
The 1,200m rowing race at Salford Quays was part of last night’s big charity event on BBC1, which also included celebrity boxing, football and dancing.
The BBC team of Sara Cox, Dan Walker, Rory Reid, Sophie Raworth, Ellie Harrison and Dev Griffin saw off an ITV team including Charlotte Hawkins, Ferne Mccann, Nicola Thorp, Chris Bisson, Jake Canuso and Chris Hughes.
Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte said: “I’m seriously gutted that we lost.
“I’m not sure which I’ve been dreading more, the actual race or having to face Piers [Morgan].”
