Petrol cars in pollution fear

-

EMISSIONS from Ford Fiesta and Nissan Qashqai petrol models have been branded “poor” after tests.

Qashqai nitrogen oxide levels were eight times higher in real-world driving than in lab tests, and four times higher in the Ford, said the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.

Ford said the model tested was out of production. Nissan said the Qashqai tested had a smaller engine than other models, reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
